Style | Topshop Mighty Boots

So my trusted River Island ankle boots finally gave up on me after over a year of continuous wear, so off I trotted to town in search of a new trusty pair of boots when I stumbled across these beauts. When it comes to day to day footwear I am a boots and skinny jeans girl. I like an ankle boot, not sky high during the day but with a heel large enough to stack me up a teeny bit and these ticked all the boxes. I had been eyeing up the Ambush boots in Topshop for a while but at not so purse friendly £75 I wasn't sure I could justify, especially as I could only find them in brown. So when I stumbled across these for a rather nice £45 I snapped up a size five and hot footed it to the till. These are leather with an almost suede effect so I am not sure how they are going to withstand the wet weather, but nothing that a quick spritz of protector spray can't fix. They are super comfy, bar driving in them as the ankle is slightly taller than my RI ones and digs in every-time I reach for the brakes but they definitely go with everything in my wardrobe so I can overlook this little glitch. I have seen that they also do them in brown so I shall be scouring Topshops all over to pick up them too :-).

You can purchase The Mighty boots by clicking here. Also I recently used the code 09689386509385584938 (yes an odd one) online via this site which gave me 10% off which equates to the postage and packaging at least! (hopefully it still works).

Topshop wants | what I'm lusting after...

What is it with Topshop at the moment? Without wanting to turn into the urban dictionary equivalent of a Topshop clone I can't seem to get enough of the place. I partly blame the gorgeous Anna for looking absolutely babelicious in this Topshop peplum ensemble that it has made my desire to purchase it even more so. Throw in a bit of jewellery and a slouchy top and you pretty much have this months wish list done and dusted! Phew.

I own one Topshop blush in head over heels and I absolutely bloomin' love it. The formulation, the colour pigmentation, the longevity is right up my street all for only £6. I love anything with a pink/coral tone to it so this little number in Neon Rose looks perfect. The peplum top was sold out when I went online. I saw this on Anna's blog and matched with the necklace she chose this is the perfect combo! I am hoping this is re-stocked soon or I may have to keep an eye out for a similar one. I love a slouchy top and this one albeit rather pricey for what it is grabbed my attention straight away, the fact it hangs lower at the back meaning your bottom half is tucked away nicely appeals to me. How cute is this little phone purse? Not only does it hold your phone it has a little credit card and change compartment, perfect for those that like to carry as little as possible aka me on a night out, only issue is where to put the lippy ay?

Get your glow on...Topshop Skin Glow!

For a while I have been eying up the BECCA skin perfector but have been reigning myself in due to the cost. Then I happened to be in Topshop and spotted their Skin Glow, a liquid highlighter. As I do not own a liquid highlighter this was justifiable, right? And at only £10 for 30ml it is a fraction of the BECCA but would it live up to my expectations? I was eager to find out...
The packaging is the generic Topshop cosmetics packaging, plain and simple. Skin Glow is available in 2 shades, dark and light. I opted for light to use as a highlight although the dark version would not only be perfect for darker skinned ladies but would work well on lighter skin as a liquid blush/highlight which would be gorgeous in the summer. The lighter version expels as light cream which appears almost pearl like but as you blend it reveals gorgeous pink irredescent undertones which pick up under the light perfectly. You really only need the tiniest amount which can be applied under or over foundation, I tend to apply under in the areas I welcome highlight such as cheek bones, bridge of nose and then apply foundation over the top. This could also be worn bare faced (if you are brave enough) for just going to the beach etc as it gives a really healthy glow without looking too shimmery. The Tophop Skin Glow is available for £10 in store.

I can't wait to use this throughout the summer as I think this will go perfect with a tan, I just need to book a holiday now :).

HAUL

Hi Girls,

I went shopping this weekend with my lovely boyfriend. The main purpose of the shop was to find a dress for my other half's sisters engagement party...but seeing as I didn't find the perfect dress I thought I would share with you some of the other items I picked up.

Due to it getting dark so early in England lately it was near impossible for me to take near decent photograph's so I have opted for the store photographs so that you don't miss out. I apologise for this in advance as I do like to take all my own photos for my blog generally.

Enjoy...

If you have read a previous post, I purchased some lovely brown ankle boots from Forever 21, I wished I had got them in black too so I have been hunting for similar since...these were a little more expensive however for a hard wearing leather boot I think they were pretty reasonable.

I originally saw this dress via Sarah at Beauty Geek, you can view her blog by clicking here. I though this would be a great day dress yet could also be glammed up for the evening with some accessories. This was from New Look and is limited edition by Parisian and at the time of purchase they had a 25% off.

For a while I have been looking for some casual slouchy tops that can also be dressed up. I was watching Vivianna of Vivianna does makeup, you can view her blog by clicking here. She mentioned about these fab tops from Topshop. All I can say is that it was love at first sight and I purchased two of them in different colours. They are great quality material and sense these will last a long time, the price wasn't bad either at £16 each.

I then made a quick stop at Lush, I have only recently got into the whole Lush phase, whilst I adore receiving these products for Christmas and Birthdays I have never really tried the entire range. I had heard great things in the blogging community about the Grease Lightning spot treatment so I picked this up along with a Herbalism facial wash. I have yet to try their facial washes and this certainly looks interesting to say the least so I shall keep you posted on this one :)

Small disclaimer -  all products mentioned were purchased by me for the benefit of my loyal readers and subscribers. All photos were taken from the official websites of Topshop, New Look, Lush and River Island with the appropriate links attached.
