Lazy Sunday | eBay finds

When it comes to a Sunday I love nothing more than setting up the macbook, getting comfy on the sofa and getting lost in the world wide web. Whether that be blogging or shopping there is something special about the internet that allows me to pass the time, guilt free. Having been deprived of the internet lately (awaiting broadband to be installed) means I have been slacking a tad, however a trip to ma and pa's this weekend allowed me to make full use of the super speedy broadband plus a rather delish roast dinner was thrown in to boot. One of my favourite places to pick up a bargain has to be none other than good old eBay. It can be hit and miss sometimes but I am yet to have a bad buying experience yet (touch wood) bar the odd the bad selling experience, non payers I am watching you :-)! But all in all its a good place to grab a bargain and the odd dupe of a pricey high street alternative! Whilst having somewhat of a mooch this Sunday I ended up filling a virtual basket of rather splendid items whilst refraining from blowing my entire PayPal account (everyone knows that PayPal is monopoly money right?). So heres what I came across this week.

click the links above to go directly to the items!

Ever since that jacket was featured in Made in Chelsea I do believe it sold out across Zara stores high and low.  You can pick up this 'dupe' for roughly half the price at £42.99. Another Zara hit has to be their tote bags, and this one ticks all the boxes for me personally and is available in an array of colours. I think its safe to say that summer is well and truly behind us and as I write this post it is literally bucketing it down outside, so what better excuse to get some stylish wellies. If like me you have been swooning over the Hunter studded wellies then you will be pleased to find a much cheaper alternative! No outfit in my opinion is complete without a statement necklace. albeit this is not the cheapest, its well worth it, I am thinking skinny jeans, vest, pleather jacket and good to go! A bit of a miscellaneous item has to be my favourite book 'The Perks of being a Wallflower'. In light of the film release next month I have dug out my copy to re-read for the umpteenth time beforehand...anyone else excited? Nope? Just me then...

Hope you have all had an awesome weekend! Internet is back on this week, oh yeah! so expect a flurry of posts coming your way!

A little note...when buying on eBay always check the sellers feedback and purchase with caution. I have no experience with the sellers mentioned. No photo's are claimed as my own and the rights belong to the original owner. If for any reason you feel I am in breach of copyright please contact me and I will remove immediately. All the links above go back to the owners.

TAG | How much is my face worth?

I had seen this tag circulating the blogosphere for a while now and whilst I do not usually participate in tag posts I thought this would be a fun one to do. I think its fair to say I am a higher end girl through and through and throughout my collection you will find an array of NAR's, MAC, Laura Mercier and so forth with the odd high street bargain thrown in for good measure. I think its safe to say that when I calculated the contents of my 'daily' face I almost gave  myself a mini heart attack and shall be hiding this post from my other half to save him the shock (sorry Chris :-))! So here goes...

1. Benefit Porefessional
 £23.50

I like to start my base with a good helping of Benefit porefessional. This has been a staple in my makeup collection for as long as I can remember and having finished by full size I am currently working my way through the generous samples which came with Glamour mag earlier this year.

2. Laura Mercier oil free tinted moisturiser
£33.00

To achieve a good coverage I like to use what I refer to as wonder in a tube. A bold statement this may be but this has to be by far the best investment I have made makeup wise in a long time and can safely say that this will be making an appearance in my daily routine for a long time. If you want to see a more detailed review then click here.

3. Laura Mercier translucent powder
£24.50

Sense a pattern here? This keeps shine at bay and also keeps the above in place for a tad longer.

4. NAR's Laguna Bronzer
£25.00

Ah a beauty blogger fave, this is the most perfect bronzer I have come across and litterally applies like a dream when teamed with the LM tinted moisturiser. Great for contouring or just giving a sunkissed glow!

4. L'oreal Telescopic Waterproof mascara
£10.99

I think I am on about the 3rd tube of this little gem. I tend not to splurge too much on mascaras given that I get through them so quickly and they need replacing regularly. This, albeit a buggar to get off lasts all day/night and holds a curl perfectly.

5. Benefit Porefessional
 £23.50

I am currently working my way through the freebies which came with glamour mag, however I do have the full sized which I usually apply prior to foundation.

6. The Body Shop concealer
£8.50

I bought this a while ago and have only just rediscovered it. Its easy to blend, conceals and lasts which is what I look for in a concealer.

7. Clinique Superfine brow pencil
£13.00
I find it hard to get the right match when it comes to brow pencils and this is as close to perfect as I am going to get. I think I have used about 4 of these already. They are so quick to use, require no sharpening and the superfine tip means I get an almost perfect brow every time.

8. Revlon kissable balm stain in Rendezvous
£7.99
I absolutely love these balms from Revlon and alternate between this and honey on an everyday basis. They last a long time and as I am not one for reapplying throughout the day they suit be to a tee!

9. MAC blusher in Melba
£17.00
I love this peachy blush from MAC which compliments Laguna bronzer perfectly. I also find I can get away with it in all seasons and it looks amaze with a touch of a tan.

So the grand total of my daily face!

Introducing Mallzee | Online shopping

I was recently contacted about a brand spanking new website thats due to be launched later this year. The website is called Mallzee and sounds right up my street and is very different from other shopping websites I have come across. The concept behind the site is to create a new online shopping experience.  Users will be able to create their very own 'mall' and the swish software matches products based on your own personal style. Almost like having your own stylist from the comfort of your living room. Sounds great right? There are currently over 200 brands collaborating with Mallzee including a good few well known high street brands such as Urban Outfitters, Miss Selfridge and New Look to name a few. You then have the option to 'share' your mall with your friends and everytime someone buys from your mall you earn money based on the sale. Pretty cool right? Definitely takes some of the guit out of shopping!

In addition to this if you sign up at www.mallzee.com for the pre-launch then you could be in with the chance of bagging yourself a generous £100!

You can check out Mallzee by heading over to their site and signing up for the pre-launch to be in with the chance of winning by clicking here

Disclaimer - I am not being paid nor sponsored to feature this site. I was contacted by the company and was not obligated to post. I just thought it was pretty good concept that I wanted to share with you guys :-)

Paris outfits of the day!

So I finally got around to collating some of my photos from Paris. Firstly Paris was undoubtably one of the most beautiful cities I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. I loved the history of it and the fact that everywhere you went there was a story to be told. It was an amazing weekend and I can't wait to visit again in the future. We went for 4 days and 3 nights and managed to pack in a lot in those few days, I think it was fair to say I was pretty exhausted by the end of it. I tried to get a few outfit posts whilst in Paris mainly to make the most of the beautiful scenery as I was only there for a few days I didn't get too many as I was too busy taking in the surroundings but I thought I would share with you a few from the bunch!

Top - Zara
Skirt - River Island
Bag - Zara Tote
Sandals - New Look

Top - Topshop
Jacket - Warehouse
Jeans - Topshop Leigh
Sandals - Newlook
Sunglasses - Cheap french shop :-)

Good news guys that my internet should be sorted by next week at my new place woop woop! I have been lost without my daily catch up and have a few posts lined up for my return! I cannot wait to get back in the swing of things!

Paris Haul

Hi there lovelies, almost 2 weeks has past since my little trip to Paris and so much as happened. I have moved into a lovely riverside apartment with my boyfriend, so far so good. But to say it has been stressful is an understatement to say the least. Amongst moving, making furniture and having zilch time off of work I have also been deprived of the internet for the time being which makes blogging a little difficult! And boy do I miss it! I could not hold off any longer though so I have popped to mums for tea and wi-fi access...bliss

I have to say I think I was quite reserved when it came to splurging whilst away and tried to stick to products that I could not get access to in the UK, well not easily anyway so Caudalie was struck off the list and I resisted the urge to pick up extra Bioderma as I am quite liking oil based cleansers lately, shock horror!

The first thing I picked up was the Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip balm. This was actually recommended by a fellow reader and I can't wait to try this. I tend to apply lip balm before bed and then in the morning so this is a nice bedside table addition.

HD Forever Foundation
Despite the language barrier I was matched up in Sephora by a lovely assistant. This was probably the one thing I was most excited about trying and can't wait to test this on a forthcoming night out I have planned! I know there have been mixed reviews surrounding the hype so I hope I am not let down. Let me tell you though Sephora is an absolute beauty junkies heaven, I do hope that they bring one back to the UK although for the time being its probably safer on my bank balance that they don't :-)

Embryolisse moisturiser has been somewhat a hit amongst the beauty world and I have heard on the grapevine this could be available over here...Again this is yet to be tried and tested but I hear it leaves the perfect base for makeup, so watch this space!

Ah those cheeky little products they line up whilst queuing for the till, they get me every single bloomin' time! I saw this product which was almost an exact replica for the Bourjois magic polish remover, it even smells the same. It was roughly the same price so is far from being a cheaper alternative but it will be interesting to see how this fairs against the original which I am running out of fast, hence the choice to pick this up!

Well thats all i actually got, but its safe to say France definitely wins hands down in the pharmacy stakes! I could have spent hours in them. I hope that you are all well and thanks for sticking around whilst I am a little absent on the blogging scene. I have a mountain of blogs to catch up on and YouTube vids as well as a ton of posts to write up and review so when I do get internet back I am sure my laptop is going to be on fire!

REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask

Hello there friends! I am back from Paris and currently awaiting a delivery van to come and pick up the mountains of boxes which have been moved to the hallway of my parents house. So what better way to fill the time than a little blogging! This review has been a long time coming and I wanted to give the product a full test before I could report back to you guys and I have to say that even now I am still on the fence about this product!

Some time ago I bought the REN Glycolactic radiance renewal mask after hearing some other bloggers singing its praises. After buying the full sized bottle which is a hefty £38 for 50ml I was actually sent the sample sized via Whats in my Handbag. In hindsight I wish I had waited for this as I am not sure whether I would of purchased the full sized after trialling it. The idea of the mask is that rather than exfoliating the top layer of skin it actually penetrates through the layers to enable new skin cells to grow thus leaving you with a more radiant complexion. I used this after cleansing my skin. I usually use an old foundation brush to apply masks but this worked better using my finger tips to massage it into the skin, although it was rather messy and stick and what I can only describe as rubbing honey or jam all over my face, a very strange formulation to say the least. The aroma however is something I like, almost citrusy like bitter oranges. I know that this is going to be a love it or hate it scent. After about 10 minutes, I use a muslin cloth to remove. This is the nasty bit, even after several rinses I can't help but feel that there is a sticky residue left? Maybe this is just me? My skin definitely feels softer after using and a tad more plump, but for almost 40 quid I want the WOW factor with immediate results and unfortunately it did not give me that. Yes its a nice mask but the price tag alone puts me off purchasing again which is a shame as I am a fan of REN skincare.

Have you tried this and what were your thoughts? Yay or nay?
